# Cloud-Adoptie: Welke Landen Lopen Voorop?

Het onderzoek van Gartner naar bestedingen aan de cloud en de groei per land laat zien waar de cloud-adoptie het snelste verloopt en in welke landen het tempo lager ligt. Volgens het onderzoek is Nederland als het gaat om investeringen in clouddiensten een ‘volgend land’.

 

Landen die minder dan drie jaar achterlopen op de Verenigde Staten, zoals het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Nederland, worden volgende landen genoemd. Hun cloud-bestedingen zullen tussen 2019 en 2022 respectievelijk 2,8 en 3,2 procentpunt stijgen. In Nederland zal het aandeel van de cloud-bestedingen in 2022 11,5% bedragen.

In Europa werden al vroeg [datacentra](https://www.gartner.com/smarterwithgartner/the-data-center-is-almost-dead/) in Ierland, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Nederland gevestigd. Dit stimuleerde de vroege adoptie van clouddiensten, omdat organisaties ter plaatse profiteerden van meer [elasticiteit](https://www.gartner.com/smarterwithgartner/4-factors-shape-the-future-of-hyperconverged-infrastructure/), zelfservice voorzieningen en een flexibel pay-per-use-model.
